چکیده
Magnetorheological (MR) brake is a sort of electromagnetic that uses the controllable output characteristics MR fluid for braking. In this paper, an with double disc was developed to improve braking performance conventional brakes. The effective damping gaps were increased from traditional two sections four by increasing single disc. By reasonably arranging non-magnetic sleeve inside brake, magnetic flux lines better guided gaps, which utilization rate field, effectively enhanced performance, and also reduced power consumption. structure working principle discussed. field proposed analyzed ANSYS software, theoretical result obtained combining established mechanical model. test rig setup investigate torque brake. experimental results show maximum 18.01 N·m at applied current 2.0 A rotational speed 400 r·min−1, simulation values are basically verified. addition, indicate constant characteristic relatively stable, almost unaffected changes speed. can provide some guidance structural design optimization actuators.

Theoretical Studies on Magnetorheological Fluid Brake
A Magneto-Rheological (MR) fluid brake is a device to transmit torque by the shear force of an MR fluid. An MR rotary brake has the property that its braking torque changes quickly in response to an external magnetic field strength. In this paper, the design method of the cylindrical MR fluid brake is investigated theoretically. The mechanical part is modeled using Bingham’s equation, an approa...

We consider a gyroscopic system with two degrees of freedom under the action of small dissipative and non-conservative positional forces, which has its origin in the models of rotating bodies of revolution being in frictional contact. The spectrum of the unperturbed gyroscopic system forms a ”spectral mesh” in the plane ”frequency – gyroscopic parameter” with double semi-simple purely imaginary...

This paper reviews numerical methods and analysis procedures used in the study of automotive disc brake squeal. It covers two major approaches used in the automotive industry, the complex eigenvalue analysis and the transient analysis. The advantages and limitations of each approach are examined. This review can help analysts to choose right methods and make decisions on new areas of method dev...
متن کاملParameter Analysis of Fluid-Solid Coupling for Wet Brake Disc
Due to the poor conditions of wet brake cooling and the high temperature of the working characteristics, this paper intended to introduce the oil film vadose between the brake linings, considered the variation of volume of grooves on the friction plate, and then proposes the three-dimensional transient dynamic response of fluid-solid coupling mathematical model. By parameter analysis of the dis...

Vehicle braking system is considered as one of the most fundamental safety-critical systems in modern vehicles as its main purpose is to stop or decelerate the vehicle. The frictional heat generated during braking application can cause numerous negative effects on the brake assembly such as brake fade, premature wear, thermal cracks and disc thickness variation (DTV). In the past, surface rough...
